Breaking Ground on Casa Belzar: A Home Away From Home
“A dream isn’t built through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.” – Colin Powell
There’s something so magical about seeing your dreams take shape before your very eyes. The moment where the illustrations your mind created becomes something tangible. Something you can touch, walk through, and call your own.
February 28, 2025 was a special date for the hearts of the Balermino family and Extra Home Design team. The family arrived only expecting a casual site visit. But, what they saw couldn’t have made them any happier. The first steps of the Casa Belzar had begun taking shape. The first shovels that have met the ground wasn’t just the beginning of a construction, but the start of a new beginning for the Balermino Family. Every blueprint they had drawn, every nail that was to be driven, every paint that would soon touch the walls was a step closer into their dreams. Casa Belzar was officially in the making, and the journey had just begun.
Covering 457 square meters, Casa Belzar is designed to welcome six to ten guests, making it the perfect spot for both small getaways and big gatherings. A well-planned pool will offer a fun and relaxing space for both kids and adults, while open areas will be set aside for parlor games, bringing people together through laughter and friendly competition. As the day comes to an end, guests can gather around the fire pit for late-night conversations or take a quiet moment in the designated smoking area. A parking space for three to four vehicles will make arrivals and departures smooth and hassle-free, ensuring a comfortable stay from start to finish.
Soon Casa Belzar will no longer be just an idea, but a place that fosters happy memories.
The groundbreaking of Casa Belzar took place in the town of Amadeo, Cavite—just minutes from Tagaytay City. The event was one for the books for both the Extra Home Design team and the Balermino family. The team had worked diligently for days to make sure the groundbreaking event was a success. Every detail had been meticulously planned. From the gray color theme that matched the company’s branding, to the DIY-ed decor provided by Miss Karina, and the shovels brought by Miss Denise.
Despite the absence of the team’s Architect, Ar. Josh, the team managed to bring the event into fruition. With Engr. Eric leading the initial team on site—Karina and Den arriving shortly after to finish up the preparations.
The groundbreaking ceremony was a simple yet heartfelt celebration with the EHD team and Balermino family gathered to mark the official start of the construction of Casa Belzar.
When the Belarmino family arrived, their emotions said it all. What was once just an idea, was now real. It wasn’t a grand celebration by any means, it was one of just genuine moments of joy shared between family and the team who helped bring their dreams into a reality.
Before the ceremonial groundbreaking, everyone took a moment to pause and pray. A heartfelt reflection on the journey that brought them here. There was no rush. Instead, the event flowed naturally, with each person stepping into their role effortlessly. After, they gathered to have a celebratory lunch, sharing stories, laughter, and the excitement of what was yet to come. Smiles filled the air as snaps of the cameras were heard. For the Extra Home Design team, it was moments like this that they were reminded of why they do what they do. They don’t just build houses, they build the stories and dreams that come with it. As for the Balermino Family, the team wasn’t just the builders of this rest house, but have become an extension of their family. The laughs they have shared, the plans they have made, the trust they have put into each other has created something beautiful. A bond that will only get stronger overtime.
The groundbreaking ceremony was like a fairytale come true for the Balermino family. They were overjoyed, their happiness so palpable you could almost reach out and touch it. The success of the event meant the beginning of a dream finally coming to fruition. Watching the shovels hit the ground was a moment they’d remember for years to come.
Soon, Casa Belzar will be the place where you can slow down. Where mornings will begin with fresh air, afternoons will be spent lounging by the pool, and evenings will end with stories shared around the fire.
